I shall make mention of the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, the praises of the Lord, According
to all that the Lord has granted us, And the
great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which
He has granted them according to His compassion And
according to the abundance of His lovingkindnesses. For He
said, “Surely, they are My people, Sons who will not deal falsely.”
So He became their Savior.
So He became their Savior.
Isaiah
63:7-8 New American Standard
Bible (NASB)
This is another
beautiful passage where Isaiah draws his readers back to reality: God is good,
He is loving and He will restore! Yes, He has and will punish those who sin,
but He will have compassion on those who repent, and will not reject or forsake
those who love Him. His love is so great! He does not willingly afflict. He
longs to draw His people to Him. He longs to bless them. Oh how it grieves His
heart to see the barriers we have put up to defend ourselves against Him! to
see the sin we cherish, the way we try to hide it from Him. If only we would
seek His presence! Let Him be your Savior!
