I don’t know how many times I’ve heard kids tell their
parents about something bad they did, but they start out with the good news to
try to soften the blow. “Hey the car still runs!” It just needs a lot of body
work, etc. The good news/bad news technique is a common preview in other areas
as well. In some ways, it is used to soften the blow of the bad news, but in
others the bad news makes the good news seem so much better. What is the good
and bad news of Christianity?

can happen easily, to anyone. No one is safe from it. If a person’s identity is
stolen they could lose everything. A person’s identity is directly tied to
their security. So what is our spiritual security?

Religion or the Gospel
Many Christians are still living as under a religion rather than being immersed in a relationship with Christ. The gospel is something that they needed to be saved and then they never think about it again. But the gospel is the basis of our beliefs and without it we are lost. We need to preach the gospel to ourselves every day even after we are saved. We should be living in the gospel rather than religion. This chart shows the difference between the two...
