Now
to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or
think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the
glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.
Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
God is able. There is nothing (good) that He cannot do. He cannot do anything evil, cruel or bad, but as far as the good, loving and holy He has no limit. His limitlessness extends to the point that He can do far more than we could imagine. The two Greeks words that translate “far more abundantly beyond” could be literally translated as “exceedingly beyond measure.” It is so far past our comprehension we could never even come close to fathoming it. That is how capable He is to help, provide for, and bless us. That is how much greater He is in His entirety than anything or anyone on this earth, including His wisdom, love, understanding, mercy, justice, etc. He not only is able to do so much, but He also knows everything that will and could happen, as well as the possible repercussions of every action in history. Because of this, He knows what is best to be done, the best course for each of our lives. He desires what is best, and does it as much as we will surrender our lives to Him. It is not that we have any control or power, but He allows us to choose. Because of this He is due all glory in heaven and on earth for all of eternity! Is that not a God worthy our whole worship? How can you give Him glory? Ask Him to reveal His glory to you so you can better praise Him!
