Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face continually.
Seek His face continually.
1 Chronicles 16:11 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
This should be the motto and
focus of our lives. We should always be seeking God and His strength. Without
Him we are nothing and can do nothing. He gives us each breath. If we could
fathom how very dependant we are on Him we would live very differently. If we
could learn to fully rely on His strength instead of our own, we could
accomplish so much more. His presence should be our greatest longing. To sit at
the feet of Jesus as Mary did should be our hearts desire. And I believe it is
deep down, but most of the time we misinterpret or ignore that longing. We look
to fill it somewhere else, and yet are never satisfied because nothing of this world can do that. Only God can satisfy our hearts longings. Do you seek God?
Do you find comfort in His strength and peace in His presence? “Oh God let us be a generation that seeks, seeks Your face, Oh God of Jacob!”
