Devotions: Praise Report!

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

What are the riches of God in glory? Is there any end to them? So His supply for us, which is in accord with His exceeding wealth, will be exceedingly great. He doesn’t supply according to what we need and no more but in proportion to what He has.
I have been having unexplained heart issues for the last few months. The cardiologists are baffled because the cause is obviously not my heart. The symptoms began suddenly just before Christmas and I spent the weekend in the hospital. But while I was there, they discovered a mass on my thyroid that needs to be removed. The doctor actually told me he that he couldn’t understand why I was having those symptoms but he thought maybe it was someone getting me in so that they would discover my thyroid issue. They also suggested that I establish primary care with someone to help coordinate with the specialists. The doctor I chose is also an endocrinologist (hormone dr) whom I had seen several years before. He ran some hormone tests which we thought were unrelated to my other issues. It turns out that I have a major hormone imbalance that may actually be causing my heart symptoms! God was so beautifully orchestrating all of this! He didn’t plan or cause my medical issues, but He placed me in the exact care I needed. If I hadn’t gone to that hospital we may not have noticed my thyroid issue until it was causing serious issues. If I hadn’t gone there they wouldn’t have suggested I see a family doctor, which means I wouldn’t have had those hormone tests so we wouldn’t have discovered the hormone imbalance which means we wouldn’t have discovered the possible cause of my heart issues. To top it off, the endocrinologist (who I just saw yesterday to get those results) found out about our financial problems and didn’t charge me for what should have been a fairly expensive visit! God is so good!!! He supplied exactly what I needed in a way that caused me to trust Him more.

No matter what troubles you are facing, know that He will supply your needs, and supply them richly! It may not be when or how you expect, but He will nonetheless. Trust in Him and He will give you reason to believe!
